Unitarian Universalist Church Campus Design
Set in the foothills of the Tucson Mountains,
The church campus nestles among the Palo Verde and mesquite trees lining the wash, giving a cool refuge to anyone who decides to traverse the desert landscape to this location.
The wash adds a new dimension to the campus, allowing the water and hikers alike to traverse through the site, and for the congregation to feel the sand beneath their feet if they choose.
The completive spirit of the layout and the materials allow the person to be one with the surroundings and feel the environment and the architecture to be in tune with the journey of thinking.
The design allows one to think, to be, and to flourish.
